Indoor VS Outdoor Bouldering

Why people who like rock climbing can go indoor rock climbing once, twice, or even often and go outdoor climbing very few times?

Meet Dan !

Dan is a Semi-professional rock climber and he is interested in Bouldering and he could climb up to level v7-v8.

Fear

Gear

There is a huge difference in the type, quantity, and quality of gear used for indoor climbing versus outdoor climbing.

Outdoor bouldering can be dangerous and intimidating for beginners.

A long time preparation and journey

Gradually the urge to challenge is lost, and fear and trepidation set in.

Heavy Outdoor Gear - Becoming exhausted

When bouldering indoors, you only really need chalk and shoes to get going, but if you’re bouldering outdoors, crash pads are a must-have accessory. You may realize that you need more gear than expected when going bouldering outdoors for the first time.

Here is how we can help our hero …

To break the limits of taking over-sized gear.

Asset 6.png

The conventional crash pad is Giant; even it cannot fit into the car's trunk. The hummingbirds’ wings are twice as big as its body. However, the wings will not interfere with its behaviors. Inspired by wings, by using the origami way of thinking to minimize the size of the crash pad.

... And break the limits of taking heavy gear.

Asset 5.png

Polyurethane foam is really heavy, and climbers get exhausted when they are on their way to boulders. The Front Line wind shell is equipped with an air crash pad. Mini Co2 Cartridges depressurize in a few milliseconds to inflate the air crash pad. Provide our hero with the same level of safeness as the original.

Shorten the preparation time for our hero.

Asset 4.png

Refined ways to unfold the air pad allows climbers to use it in seconds and use it for multiple times in one tour.

Product in Line Story Build

Breaking Limits.           Hero Stimulated.           Wild Exploration.

Break the limits to carry extra large and heavy gear, our hero only needs to put on the Longsleeve shirt, switch the mode of the Scramble Shoe, as well as inflate the FrontLine wind shell into a crash pad, then he could start his first attempt on the boulder, no longer need long planning and preparation.

Our hero stimulated by their own unlimited passion and impulse, fearless of all challenges in front of them.

Our hero quickly returns to physical strength thanks to the Longsleeve shirt, switches the mode of the Scramble shoe, folds the air crash pad back to the FrontLine wind shell, opens the next challenge, wild exploration.
